Fueling Purpose Through Wellness
You will earn your degree through a partnership with Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences in Quincy, Ill. You complete general education courses and nursing prerequisite courses during the first year on the C-SC campus, then participate in nursing classes and clinical experiences at a variety of agencies, including Blessing Hospital, during the next three years. Blessing-Rieman has a state-of-the-art simulation center with nine life-size anatomical manikins with the same physical features of real humans such as breathing, blinking eyes, heart and lung sounds and giving birth to a baby. Blessing-Rieman has a student-to-faculty ratio of 12:1. Students participate in more than 700 hours of clinical experiences.
Admission Requirements:
Freshmen Need:
- Minimum high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- If below a 3.0, accepted as “pre-nursing” instead of freshman nursing.
Transfers Need:
- Cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher
- Support course GPA of 2.7 or higher
- Completion of the following prerequisites:
- English Composition I
- General Psychology
- Anatomy & Physiology I & II
- Lifespan Development
