Statewide student coalition making stop at Culver-Stockton

CANTON, Mo. — Representatives from Keep Me In College, a statewide student coalition, will be in the lobby of the Herrick Foundation Center on the Culver-Stockton College campus from 8-10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Students will receive free donuts and have the opportunity to learn about Keep Me In College, which is made up of students selected from each of Missouri’s independent, nonprofit colleges who are working to keep the Missouri legislature informed of the importance and the real-life impact of Missouri’s student aid programs.

Keep Me In College members have successfully fought to protect Access Missouri, a need-based program administered by the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development that provides need-based financial aid to financially deserving students. Access Missouri provided assistance for 215 students at Culver-Stockton during the Fall 2019 semester.

Kar’Mel Brewer, a junior music education major from St. Louis, is Culver-Stockton’s student ambassador for Keep Me In College.
