Mock trial team takes 14th place at Kansas City tournament

CANTON, Mo. — Culver-Stockton’s mock trial team placed in 14th place out of 30 teams at the second Derek Moorehead and Irene Downs Invitational on Nov. 16-17 on the University of Missouri-Kansas City campus. Madelyn Haley, a freshman accounting major from Liberty, Ill., received a top witness award.

Two rounds were held on Saturday and two rounds were held on Sunday. Teams from Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, Arkansas, Texas and Colorado competed.
