Bellwether

The play follows the descent of a friendly neighborhood that turns on parents Alan and Jackie Draft when their six-year-old daughter Amy mysteriously disappears. Adapting from an ancient Greek drama’s concept of the chorus as responders to tragedy, Yockey lifts the veneer of friendly perfection from the townsfolk of Bellwether to expose unsettling darkness roiling beneath. This production contains mature language and subject matter.

Performances of Bellwether will be held on Friday, February 18 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, February 19, at 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. A matinee showing on Sunday, February 20, will begin at 3:00 p.m. All performances will be in the Mabee Foundation Theatre at the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center on the campus of Culver-Stockton College.
