The Camerata 808 ensemble will perform Terry Riley’s In C on Friday, September 13 @ 8:08pm in the Merillat Recital Hall. In C is one of the most iconic works of minimalist music. In C embodies the experimental spirit of the 1960s, breaking traditional musical boundaries and emphasizing collective improvisation, chance, and the fluidity of musical form. “The piece is celebrated for its influence on the development of minimalist music and its enduring impact on contemporary classical music,” stated Dr. Trent Hollinger, C-SC associate professor of music.
