CANTON, MO – The Culver-Stockton College (C-SC) Financial Aid Office is offering free workshops to assist current students, prospective students, and the general public in filing the 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The workshops will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, and Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the C-SC Financial Aid Office, located in Henderson Hall, room 102.
These workshops are open to anyone navigating the financial aid process for the 2025-2026 academic year. In addition to providing FAFSA filing assistance, Culver-Stockton’s Financial Aid Team will offer one-on-one consultations and answer any questions attendees may have.
Students are asked to bring:
- 2023 taxes and W-2 forms
- Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID, username, and password
- Current balance of cash, savings, and checking
- Net worth of investments
- Parent Information (Social Security Number, Date of Birth, and email address)
- Personal laptop, if available
Parents are welcome to attend and are asked to bring the same materials as the student.
“Culver-Stockton is excited to assist anyone who needs to file their FAFSA. With all of the changes made to the FAFSA in the last year, it is sometimes overwhelming or difficult for students and parents to navigate,” said Patti Mathieson, C-SC Associate Director of Financial Aid. “We want to help them file correctly the first time they go to the studentaid.gov website. The earlier a student files, the more beneficial it is to help them make informed decisions about choosing the right college. Don’t be afraid to ask for help! We are just a phone call or email away.”
The FAFSA is submitted online and allows applicants to share their financial information with the schools of their choice for the upcoming academic year.
